Founded by Ed and Adelyn Collier in Rockford, Illinois, the business began with a simple yet powerful vision: to offer quality recreational vehicles at affordable prices, making the freedom of travel and the beauty of camping accessible to everyone. Over six decades later, Collier RV remains one of the Midwest's largest and most trusted family-owned RV dealerships.

Here at Collier RV, we aim to have the best prices on quality products and exceptional customer service every time. Located in Rockford and Wadsworth, IL, we feature a 52,000 square foot indoor showroom that can display over 45 units at a time — one of the largest showrooms in Illinois! Inside our showroom, you can find great New RVs and Used RVs by Forest River, Coachmen, East to West, Keystone RV, Thor Motor Coach, Winnebago, and more. We are proud of the brands we carry — in order for a manufacturer to be represented at Collier RV, its products must offer our customers the most value for their dollar.

Our Journey

What started as Ed Collier Recreation Trailers, operating from a modest parking lot near downtown Rockford, quickly gained a reputation for exceptional products and service. Within ten years, the business expanded to a 3.5-acre property on Alpine Road, strategically located near the interstate to better serve its growing clientele.

In 1989, Ed and Adelyn passed the torch to their sons, Ed (Jr.) and Jim, who continued to grow the family legacy. By 1991, the dealership underwent significant expansion, adding a large parts and accessories store and an indoor showroom capable of displaying six RVs. As demand grew, Collier RV once again outgrew its space, leading to the purchase and transformation of a vacant Menards building in 2001. Today, the Rockford location features a 52,000-square-foot indoor showroom with room for over 45 units, a state-of-the-art parts store, and a service department with 20 bays staffed by Master Certified RV technicians.

Expanding Our Reach

In 2006, Collier RV expanded with a second location, Collier RV Wadsworth, situated along Interstate 94 in Wadsworth, Illinois. This facility serves customers from both the Chicago and Milwaukee metropolitan areas, furthering our mission to bring camping closer to families across the region.

This exclusive network of over 160 independent RV dealerships across the United States provides emergency RV service, ensuring you’re always taken care of, even when you're far from home.
